MIYO — Make It Your Own — was founded on the belief that femininity is strength.
I was raised in the hinterland of Australia, surrounded by wide skies, resilience, and a deep appreciation for beauty in the everyday. At 23, I moved to the United States to study, and in 2012 I married the love of my life in Idaho. After discovering that snow was not for me, we eventually settled in sunny Florida, where MIYO is proudly based today.
Throughout my life, I have always felt that my feminine nature was not something fragile — it was something powerful. It brought steadiness to me and support to those around me. That belief became the foundation of MIYO.
Women of all ages are a source of strength — not because they do more, but because they are.
Yet in our haste to build, fix, and care for everyone else, we often forget to care for ourselves. An empty vessel cannot function. It can only break down. MIYO exists as a reminder that taking care of yourself is not indulgent — it is essential.
